First Lady Jacquie Banks

This is our First Lady - Sister Jacquie BanksSister Jacquie Banks (Aubrey) is an adoring wife, and she and Pastor Banks have been married over 35 years. She is the loving mother of their four children and grandmother to Caleb, Genisis, Kelaiah, Harmony, Nadia, Kamryn, Naomi and Ryann. Also, she is the oldest of five sisters and four brothers.

In 1975, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Since that time, she desires to learn and strives to grow in what God would have her to do. Encouraging, listening, speaking, and praying for others is part of what she believes her ministry for the cause of Christ includes.

Sister Banks was born and raised in Wharton County, Texas. She attended Wharton County Junior College where she met and married Mr. Arthur C. Banks in 1974. After he joined the U.S. Air Force, they moved to Duluth, Minnesota where they resided until 1982 when the Lord relocated them to Tacoma, Washington.

The Lord has blessed Sister Banks to complete both bachelor and master degrees in education. She has been employed for 20 years at Bates Technical College in several positions. She was a Business and Office Instructor, Associate Dean for Workforce Education, Associate Dean for Academic Instruction & Technical High School, Associate Dean for Home & Family Life and, since 2006, serves as Dean for Instruction/Home & Family Life.

Sister Banks is involved and participates in community, higher education, and Christian organizations. Currently, she serves as part of the Greater Tacoma Kiwanis and is also a member of Zeta Phi Beta's local Eta Mu Zeta chapter. Sister Banks works with the local and international ministers' wives and widows associations. She is the teacher for the Eastside Baptist Church School Young Adult class, works in the Mission Ministry, Women’s Ministry and weekly early morning Praise & Prayer service.
