Outreach Ministries
In 2009, Pastor Banks extended the challenge to our congregation to strengthen our commitment to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ outside the four walls of Eastside Baptist Church. "The harvest is truly ready; let's not let it die in the field." If you are interested in working with one of the following ministries, click here to express your interest in the ministry that God has led you to participate in.
Mobile Ministry
This ministry is composed of seven to twelve members who will assist the pastor in ministering to the sick and shut-in on a monthly basis. This component of ministry will provide those who are sick and shut-in with a worship experience that will include songs, prayer and the ministry of the Word of God.
Discipleship Ministry
This ministry will initially be composed of seven to twelve members who will be trained to disciple new members to the Eastside Family. This ministry will be trained as Disciple Makers and will eventually train additional members to the ministry.
Evangelistic Ministry
The initial composition of this ministry will also be seven to twelve members who will be equipped to carry out the evangelistic ministry of Eastside Baptist Church. "The Great Commission" compels us to "GO" and make disciples of nations. Members of this ministry will be using various tools to reach the lost for Christ and to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the unsaved community and world that God has called us to serve.
"Go, therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:19-20
